"Anyone who was a serious phishhead or hustler on tour, or was a well-connected NYC area head, used the moniker "AJ" before the word Sour to identify the herb was coming from AJ or his crew. AJ stands for "Asshole Joe" because it would always cost so much damn money for a sack of his herb, but he would get his sour to coat the inside of your body and stink up the block....

This is the Northeast's Holy Grail, period end, and when serious heads or players were buying it, they wanted to make sure it was the "AJ". At first that was more to identify that the herb was actually coming from him or close to him, and that usually meant you were going to Brooklyn to grab it....Now, simultaneous to all of this, you had the Albany crew, and the Western Mass crew (G aka Chemdog). They rocked the Sour D in this same span of time, but they just called it the Sour or the Sour D.There was no ECSD, why would we call it that? Its from the Northeast, and there was only one sour, we never needed to differentiate its regional geographic location...I can't 100% say for certain that the AJ cut and the Sour D cut are exactly the same..... I have both cuts and I can tell you that I've gotten each cut to do completely different things in different runs.

I have gotten the AJ to get flat calyx heads, and then other runs shoot tight conifer buds. Same thing with the Sour from the Western Mass crew... Swerve has used a picture of mine for years that shows the Sour D from G aka Chemdog. It's at about 5.5 weeks and there's white panda plastic behind it. That is the same cut as in the beginning of this thread, and they look COMPLETELY different in structure. The pic Swerve used shows the blocky, chunky, flat calyx look. And the pics in this thread show the Sour when it throws tighter, conifer-looking buds.. I have had the exact same results running the "AJ" that my crew bought back in the day from AJ.The pink hair thing I notice comes out when she's taken premature, or done in hydro.Since the Brooklyn crew and Albany/Western Mass crew hustled in the same circles and were part of a tight-knit crew. It leads me all to believe its genetic drift and different environments, and how vigorous she is when you get her, how you keep her, etc….

As for all the fake sour clones out there, dunno, don't care, sorry. Rez went and fucked up the Sour game for the rest of the country with all this ECSD shit. Don't think you can come to NY and get 6k a pack for that crapHere is a shot of the "AJ" bought for 3k a tray from Brooklyn back in early 2000's. This is the first time I have EVER had her looking anything like this, she put out the super frost, wish I had a better camera. I have never had her go this purple in 5 years either…."
